Miraculously Passing Accounting

First of all I have to apologize, it's been forever since I posted last! Things got really crazy the last couple weeks of school with finals and all! But they're finally over and I'm so excited!:)
Well anyway I have a kind of funny story about my accounting class!... Right from the beginning of the semester I struggled with the dang subject. I absolutely hated (well still hate) the subject but of course I went to class regardless. We took a test once a week on each chapter, the first two days of the week we learned the information, the third day we reviewed, and the fourth day we took the test! Well I went to every class...did every assignment...went to study groups...studied on my own...and then nearly failed every test! I basically started to think that I had no chance of passing the class and that I would have to retake it anyway, so the day of our last test I somewhat guessed on every question just so that I could be finished! :) when I took it back to my professor I told him not to waste his time correcting it because I knew I failed the test along with the class! ha ha! He kind of chuckled and said okay I guess I'll see you at 8:30 next semester! I was major bummed because I couldn't hardly handle it once and then I was going to have to take it a second time! But the best news of this story is that I totally didn't fail!:) YAY! I passed with a C+ I was floating on a cloud the entire night! HURRAY!

TWILIGHT

about 6 more hours until show time

Oh boy oh boy it's almost here! I, along with many others, have been waiting very patiently (mostly) for Twilight to come out! Tonight, as you all should know, is opening night and I get to go with all my roommates! Oh YAY! I hope you all are as excited to see it as I am!

I got a calling!!!

I just found out that I got a calling! It's just a little one, and most everyone get's this one I guess, but I'm still very excited! I'm a visiting teacher for the very first time:) I think it will be way fun, and my roommate Bexi is my partner! I said right from the beginning that I didn't really want a calling, but really I wanted to be a visiting teacher! YAY!

Also tonight our ward is doing baptisms for the dead and it'll be the first time I've been in the Manti temple! I can't wait!:)

Soda Drinking Contest

Friday night my apartment had a soda drinking contest. The rules:

1. Drink as much soda as you can

2. Start at midnight and go until 2:30

3. If you throw up you are out

4. No switching soda, it all has to be one kind

5. Everyone puts a prize in a box and the winner takes it all:)

We built a tower of most of the drinks before we started, if we would have made it taller it would have tipped. We still had 3 more 12 packs :O

Yay I won!!! Winning must run in the family haha! I was determined to not give up! I won after drinking 9 cans of soda! Crazy I know, and quite disgusting! My room mate Kenzie was right behind me by a few sips, but she lost it all. Yuck!

This was about half way through the competition.

When we were done we lined the whole top of our cupboards with our cans with some to spare!

It was way way fun, but we decided we can only do it once a semester because...

Me and Kenzi had a little too much energy after drinkin all that caffeine...and well we started finger painting and drawing funny pictures and sticking really random things to our celing.

we drew eyes on our chins and recorded ourselves singing songs upside down!

We taped our names on our wall and colored them with highlighters!

And the best...we built a fort under our table and slept under there! for two hours at least! we didn't finally fall asleep until about 7:30 am :) Yeah we both crashed on Sunday big time!

voting

So I came home today to vote for the very first time! It was exciting, but I was really nervous. Heck I just thought I was voting for the president...turns out I was voting for a whole lot of other things too! haha Next time I'll be a little more prepared!:) Things didn't exactly work out in the end how I had hoped, but what do ya do? It's all been said and done!

1. It doesn't matter what time I set my alarm for in the morning, almost without fail I wake up at 8.
2. Thanks to Ashley, now when I eat lucky charms I always eat the little anchors first and eat all the marshmallows at the end.
3. I change on average about 3 times a day. :0
4. No matter how often I procrastinate and end up staying up all night doing homework...I can't ever seem to get my homework done early.
5. When I go to sleep I have to be on my right side. I can't fall asleep laying on my back.
6. I don't mind letting people wear my clothes, but I hate it when they look better in it than me;)

Pranks

Sunday night me and two of my roommates were extremely bored and had nothing to do, and our other roommates went "star gazing"! So while they were gone we decided to pull some funny pranks:) We put plastic wrap over their toilet, and rigged it so it shot water out when you flushed it! believe it or not they both worked! It was the funniest thing ever! we did such a good job with the plastic, you couldn't even see it when you were looking for it!:) We had another funny idea too! We were going to put either a beef flavoring cube or cool ade in their shower head!!! But we didn't have a big enough wrench to get it off...so that will have to wait for another boring night!

Camping Trip

Last weekend me and my roommate Bexi went camping with our neighbors! We went up fairview canyon and it was a blast! We made hot dogs and smores (on our smores instead of using Hersheys chocolate we used Reeces! you should all try it!) and they made chocolate strawberry cobler! Yum! They had a great big rope swing too! I didn't get any pictures because it was too dark. but you had to climp up probably 20 feet to a platform and swing from there! It was so scary because I couldn't see a thing, but I did it twice anyway! It was way fun!
The leaves up there were so beautiful! I love fall when everything changes colors! They don't look as amazing in pictures of course but trust me it was awesome!

Glendale

Two weeks ago I went to Glendale with my mom and dad to visit Carlia and McKaydee and on our way we stopped to get gas and it was only 3.45!!! I haven't seen that for a long time, but it was sure exciting:) Lets just hope it stays that way.

We went to church with them on Sunday and then we went for a ride up to their families ranch! It was so beautiful. It was a really fun weekend.

Western Swing

Every Wednesday night they have western swing dancing for the students, I have a friend who went a lot before his mission and he just recently got home and decided he really wanted to go! He asked me if I wanted to go with him...I told him I'd go! I was a little hesitant because I had no idea what I was doing, but I ended up having a blast! I think I just might go every week now!

(I also made dinner Wednesday night all on my own for the first time! I was so proud of myself! I made potato salad-a lot of it-hamburger patties, and cut up tomatoes and avocados!)

Tonight the college had soup and bread night! We had to take either a can of soup or a dollar and we got in return all the soup and rolls we could eat! I thought it was kind of funny that we were exchanging soup for soup! but it was very good...and hey I didn't even have to make it!

Uba Lake and Horseback Riding!

Friday afternoon my accounting professor took our class to the lake just for fun! It was a blast, but very very cold! we rode the water weenie the whole time and it was so awesome! After he took us to get pizza! All expenses paid by him! He's such a great professor! In the winter he said he was going to take us snowmobiling!!! I cant wait

Saturday morning me and my roommate Bexi went horseback riding with a bunch of our friends! we went up Fairview canyon! It took about 2 hours to get up there from Ephraim, but it was sure beautiful! I feel bad because i forgot my camera so I dont have any pictures to show. but take my word for it! Well anyway there were 11 of us and only 8 horses so a few of us doubled. I went behind this girl (the back just sucks) but I didnt say anything and just jumped on the back! we had been riding for a few hours and we got to a really steep part and we were going across it, but the trail got really narrow and the horses kept slipping so we decided to turn around. The girl i was ridin behind turned the horse around and and it slipped on a big rock and started falling backwards, so I half way bailed and half way fell. but i roled down the hill about 5 or 6 times and ended up a ways down the hill. I didn't really feel anything because it scared me pretty bad, but I looked down and saw that I ripped my favorite jeans:( and scratched my knee. I jumped back on the horse and we headed back, while we were goin my ankle started hurting really bad and it just kept getting worse. I sprained it pretty bad and now it's all fat and it's hard to walk but i'm just very glad that it wasnt as bad as it should have/could have been!:) IM ALIVE!!!

Sunday Dinner!

Sunday we decided to make dinner together, mostly because we were sick of eating frozen pizzas, top ramen, and any other quick thing we could find! So we made roast, mashed potatoes, roles, and vegies! It was so good!!! We actually did a really good job, considering that none of us really know how to cook!

September 8th

We decided our apartment was a little dull so we had Vanessa's dad make us these little wall stickers! they add a little color:)

We made this wall our photo wall! We want to get it completely full before the end of the year!
Friday night we had a slumber party because our favorite show (One Tree Hill) was on saturday morning and we didn't want to miss it! It was a blast, but the episode that was on was an old one so it was kinda pointless!!!

Me and Dani were a great pair in our little show! It looks like one person doesn't it!!!;)

Vanessa went back into her room while me and Dani were messin around with that little trick and she didn't come out for a long time! When she came out this is what she was wearing! She's quite the character, but we sure do love her! I got a good roommate!

Birthday Party!!

September 2nd was my roommate Dani's birthday, so we had a little celebration for her! It was a lot of fun and i made her a very cute birthday cake!

Labor Day Weekend

So last week I was kindly informed by Sara that if I'm going to have a blog I have to keep it updated! So I apologize for having a boring not up-to-date blog! I'll try harder!!!:)

I went home for Labor Day so did Holly, Forrest, Sara, Dan, Carlia, and baby McKaydee. She wasn't very happy when I was holding her!

This was McKaydee's first experience with Swiss Days! Grandma was so happy to have her there McKaydee never left her side.

My mom so kindly signed the fam up to work in the hot dog booth! So thats what we did Saturday morning! It was really busy, but it was fun and we got a free meal out of it:)

Me and Sara had the hot dog wrapping job! We only had to yell "Dog Down" about five times!

I won a "So You Think You Can Dance" poster the first week of school and it was a girl. My room mate Vanessa Coleman could not handle having only a poster of a girl on our wall so she made a quick trip to Wal Mart and got this poster!!! She said it was the only one of a guy with his shirt off, so of course she chose it!

We were discussing how small our dryer was, and I told them I wanted to try and fit inside! No one believed I could do it, but look i did it:)!!!

Graduation

I graduated from high school on May 21, 2007 and it was a very exciting day. I cant wait to go to college and experience all the new things in life, but I think i might kinda miss this place!!!

Mom, dad, grams, gramps, Holly and Forrest were there to support me, and although the rest of the fam couldn't be there i know they would have been if it was possible.

I know it doesn't look like it...but i really was happy:)

Vanessa Coleman and I are going to Snow College in the fall and we are rooming together! I cant wait! We're going to have a blast!!!

What can i say? I kinda like the kid!!!
