Snowboarding
On Saturday morning Vanessa, Bexi and her husband John and I went snowboarding up Fairview canyon. I had never been before so of course they had to teach me. We'll just say I spent a lot of time on my butt...and my face. :) Ness and Bex were really nice and stayed with me the whole time. Basically I sucked, but it was a lot of fun anyway, and I think I might actually go again. They say it's much better the second time around.

Crazy week!
Well this week has been pretty crazy so far, and it's just the beginning. I got a phone call from the second counselor in the bishopric asking if I could speak in church this Sunday. The topic is my choice and I'm supposed to speak for 10-15 minutes. (the longest I've ever taken is about 5) and to make it better I'm speaking with the 2 full time missionaries. So that's not intimidating at all. Thank goodness missionaries know how to speak for a long time because they'll have to make up for me ;)
Next, my phone broke yesterday :( and I only had it for 4 months. I just dropped it on the floor (on accident, but very softly) and it broke the screen and since it's a touch screen i cant possibly use it. So sisters if you've been trying to get ahold of me I SWEAR i'm not ignoring you. Thank goodness I still have a spare, but it's at home.
I have a big report due tomorrow and it's been taking up a lot of my time. It's a group report so in a way thats nice, but also difficult because you have to find a time when your whole group can meet.
Last, but not least, I went to talk to the counselor today about getting my spring schedule made. We were looking at the classes I have and the classes I still need...More than half of the classes I've taken were in the 2008-2009 schedule book, but not in the 2009-2010 book. So all of the requirements were changed. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that they will still work.
Well that's my week. It's been crazy, but hopefully it will just get better. :)

I'm back!!
Well it's been a while, and Ashley has been giving me a hard time. She said that since she was my superior she had the right to tell me to update my blog. :) Well Ash it worked.
It's been a pretty crazy semester. There is a lot going on, but it's nice to stay busy. I really enjoy all my classes with the exception of one. :/ It's one of those classes that isn't hard so I tend to forget about it and put other classes ahead of it. but it's all going really well, plus it's almost over. Yay!!
Sunday was our ward conference and it was so fabulous. I also got to listen to President Uchtdorf speak at the CES fireside, it was great.
I got called to be a teacher in the Relief Society and I taught my first lesson a few weeks ago. It was really stressful and I was extremely nervous, but it was a good experience and next time will be easier.
I'll try to do better at keeping up!!

My Teaching Experience at Snow College!
Well last week I went to my business finance class and my professor asked me what I thought about having to take over the class for Professor Johnson the next week. I told him I had no idea what he was talking about and just laughed. I told him I had had Johnson earlier that day and he didn't say anything about it. I thought he was completely pulling my leg so I didn't think much about it...but when I went to my next class with Johnson he asked me to go and talk to him for a minute. When I went up there all he had to say was "hey i'm not going to be here next week" and I knew EXACTLY what he was going to say next... "do you mind taking over just for a couple days?" ha ha ha yeah I know I about died! He handed me a big envelope with all the stuff in it for all four of the classes! Well it actually ended up not being too bad, but I never want to be a college professor...or a teacher. I thought teachers had it easy, but boy was I wrong. It's a hard job for sure! Turns out he's not going to be back until Monday! So much for just a couple days right! ha ha!

Intro to Business
This semester I'm taking Introduction to Business, instead of working out of the book we are actually going to basically start our own business. In the past they have made and sold things like retro jackets, Hoodies, blankets, beach towels, swim shorts ect. All of the products have had Snow College Logo's on them. Our class had a few things in mind and our homework was to ask people what they thought would be the most marketable using social networking. :) If you were a student here which of the following would you be most interested in? If you could give your opinion that would be awesome. thanks so much!
1. baseball caps or beanies
2. gym shorts
3. car packages consisting of key chain, window stickers, license plate cover...
4. bean bags
5. school activities: stomps, rock band/guitar hero tournament

Miraculously Passing Accounting
First of all I have to apologize, it's been forever since I posted last! Things got really crazy the last couple weeks of school with finals and all! But they're finally over and I'm so excited!:)
Well anyway I have a kind of funny story about my accounting class!... Right from the beginning of the semester I struggled with the dang subject. I absolutely hated (well still hate) the subject but of course I went to class regardless. We took a test once a week on each chapter, the first two days of the week we learned the information, the third day we reviewed, and the fourth day we took the test! Well I went to every class...did every assignment...went to study groups...studied on my own...and then nearly failed every test! I basically started to think that I had no chance of passing the class and that I would have to retake it anyway, so the day of our last test I somewhat guessed on every question just so that I could be finished! :) when I took it back to my professor I told him not to waste his time correcting it because I knew I failed the test along with the class! ha ha! He kind of chuckled and said okay I guess I'll see you at 8:30 next semester! I was major bummed because I couldn't hardly handle it once and then I was going to have to take it a second time! But the best news of this story is that I totally didn't fail!:) YAY! I passed with a C+ I was floating on a cloud the entire night! HURRAY!
